A wannabe ‘Fall Guy’ has still to front court two days after he was arrested over an alleged wild rampage in a ute across Melbourne‘s inner suburbs.

Daniel Keas, 48, was due to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday after his alleged ‘stunt’ along Richmond’s Church Street went viral.

Police allege Keas was behind the wheel of a Ford Ranger that drove on the wrong side of the road and hit about ten cars on Tuesday night before it was stopped.

One video showed the ute tearing down Church Street with sparks flying from its front right wheel, which appeared stuck at almost 90 degrees to the rest of the car.

Another showed the ute crashed on nearby York Street, where police allege Keas struck four cars.

One car was seen forced up onto the car behind it after the ute allegedly crashed into it on the wrong side of the road.

Police patrolling the area allegedly saw the ute overtake them on Highett Street in Richmond about 6.50pm and started a short pursuit before the crash on York Street.

It brought an end to an alleged rampage that saw cars smashed on busy Punt Road and multiple collisions on Victoria Parade.

In bizarre scenes, Keas told police he had forgotten to take his medications and that his alleged actions had a reasonable explanation.

‘It’s alright man. It’s for a stunt, literally,’ he said in a video of police hauling him away in handcuffs.

Angry bystanders heckled Keas as he was led into the back of a divisional van.

‘It’s not a stunt man. It’s not funny,’ one man told the wannabe Lee Majors – history’s most famous fake stuntman.

‘But I’m a stunt driver. That’s what I do,’ Keas allegedly responded.

In reality, Keas is a carpenter by trade and appears to have no real experience working as an actual stuntman.

Officers allegedly found drugs both in Keas’ blood and also inside the vehicle.

One pedestrian was injured in the alleged rampage as he attempted to get out of the way of the accused ‘stuntman’.

The alleged stunt began in Fitzroy and wound its way through Collingwood and Abbotsford before ending in Richmond.

More than ten people were caught up in the carnage, police allege.

Ayyan Arsal told 9News he was shocked by the incident.

‘I just stepped out … and police officers came out and just ran after him,’ he said.

Another witness said police were forced to use a stun gun on Keas to bring him down.

The Oakleigh man was charged with dangerous driving, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, criminal damage, possessing a drug of dependence, drug driving and other traffic offences.

He was expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, but the matter was adjourned without explanation.

He will return to court on March 31.
