    The leadership of The Architecture Alliance, a CSO/Think Tank, held a constructive meeting with the management of the Architects Registration Council (ARC) on Monday, 29 September to explore areas of collaboration to strengthen the profession’s role in national development.

    The discussions centered on recognition and coexistence, professional development, and regulatory support. The Alliance emphasized its commitment to complementing the work of established institutions while amplifying diverse voices and innovative practices within the architectural community.

    Key highlights included proposals for partnership on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs, mentorship for young professionals, and joint efforts to curb unlicensed practice. The Alliance also raised important advocacy issues such as reforms to existing legislation, design competition standards, and the need for greater oversight and inclusivity in professional representation.

    Both parties acknowledged the importance of transparency, structured dialogue, and alignment with international best practices.

    The meeting marks a significant step in positioning. The Architecture Alliance as a credible platform for advancing sustainability, equity, and innovation in Ghana’s built environment, with sports and beyond. The Alliance looks forward to building on this engagement through continuous collaboration with ARC and other stakeholders to ensure that architecture contributes meaningfully to social impact and nation building.
