Ghanaian player with Spanish descent, Taufik Seidou, has been called up by Diego Simeone to join the Atletico Madrid squad for the 2025 Club World Cup.

The youngster has been playing for the junior teams for quite some time, and his impressive performance in training with the senior team has earned him the call-up.

He has been called up to play for Spain’s U17 team multiple times, showcasing brilliant performances.

Seidou has demonstrated remarkable finishing, ball protection, power, strength, and intelligence, all while training seamlessly with seasoned veterans.

The midfielder, born in Accra with Spanish citizenship, joined Atletico Madrid at 9 years old and has been a constant presence at the youth level.

He made his UEFA U19 Youth League debut at 15 last season under Fernando Torres.

Despite playing for the Spanish U17 team, he is still eligible to play for any of the Ghanaian national teams, as he has not made a definitive choice yet.

The Ghanaian youngster will train diligently to put up an excellent performance that could earn him a permanent spot in the senior team.

Atletico Madrid will begin their Club World Cup journey on June 15, 2025, against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), then play Seattle Sounders in the second match, and finish off with Botafogo in the group stage.
