Reggae/dancehall icon Stonebwoy has showered praises on Ghanaian-American singer Moliy for her significant contribution to the dancehall genre.

He extoled the ‘Shake it to the max’ hitmaker whiles delivering his acceptance speech after winning Best Reggae/Dancehall Song at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).

Stonebwoy expressed gratitude to Moliy, recognising her role in taking Ghanaian dancehall to unexpected international heights.

“I want to say one love and respect to every Ghanaian musician putting in the work,” he began. I respect you, Moliy, she’s like my girl, and thank you for taking it where nobody expected it to go within such a short time. I want to mention you, Moliy, on this one. I share this award with you,” he said.

Stonebwoy also took a moment to appreciate his fellow nominees and pioneers in the genre, including Samini and Ras Kuuku, for their continued impact on Ghanaian music.

He wrapped up his speech with a special tribute to his wife, Dr. Louisa.

“To all the other nominees as well, my big brother and Godfather, Samini, and Ras Kuuku, you guys know we keep pushing the culture. Big ups to my wife. She loves to be shy, but she’s my biggest fan,” he added.
