Residents of Teshie have raised an alarm over an unidentified decomposing dead body abandoned in the community.

A video circulating on social media shows the body dumped in a gutter at the Teshie Estate, closer to the Big Mouth community.

In the footage shared by The State News, it is captioned that the unidentified deceased, believed to be a woman, was wrapped in a sack and left in the gutter.

In the video, which is less than two minutes long, residents of the area are heard expressing concern over the state of the body, which they say has begun decomposing.

“We are at Teshie Estate, Big Mouth. If you are looking for a missing relative, you should come here and check to see if she is the one. Someone has been killed, wrapped in a sack, and dumped in the gutter,” the residents said.

The residents also called on the Ghana Police Service to immediately commence investigations into the killing and evacuate the body from the community, as it has begun decomposing.

“We are pleading with the police to come and check the body; otherwise, we cannot stay in this community. The body has started decomposing inside the sack,” they added.
