Cardinals star Nolan Arenado nearly crushed a young female baseball fan after falling into the stands while making a catch.
In terrifying scenes during St Louis’ game against the New York Mets, the third baseman sprinted to grab a fly ball from Juan Soto.
But as Arenado made the stunning catch, he collided with the barrier separating fans from the field in St Louis.
The 34-year-old was sent tumbling into the stands, where a young family was sitting in the front row.
Arenado flew straight towards the head of a young girl as her parents recoiled in fear. She was left buried beneath Arenado, whose legs pointed towards the sky.
Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt in the scary incident and Arenado gifted the young girl the ball by way of apology.

The Cardinals star is considered one of the best defensive third basemen in history and his catch helped St Louis secure a 5-4 win over the Mets on Sunday night.
