The girlfriend who stood by Tom Silvagni during his sexual assault trial left Australia soon after the iron door closed on his cell, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Miss World Australia finalist Alannah Iaconis was among the defence witnesses who gave evidence at her boyfriend’s trial, which saw him convicted in December of rape and sentenced to six years and two months behind bars.

She had been present – alongside the failed footballer’s famous parents, AFL great Stephen and TV presenter Jo – during most of the proceedings, sitting like a rock when the jury returned its guilty verdict.

However, she was missing from court the day Silvagni was sentenced.

After his sentencing, the Mail pictured Ms Iaconis visiting the Silvagnis’ rented family home in Balwyn North, not far from their former property where the crime occurred in January 2024.

She did not comment on their relationship status at the time.

When a Mail reporter asked Silvagni’s brother Jack whether Ms Iaconis’ presence at the house meant that she still supported Tom, he said it wasn’t his place to say.

‘That’s for you guys to work out,’ said Jack. ‘We’re just still trying to rally together.’

Three months on, it is unclear whether Ms Iaconis is still standing by Silvagni as he appeals his conviction. However, the fledgling influencer’s latest move suggests that she may be moving on with her life.

Ms Iaconis flew out to Japan in the weeks after Silvagni’s incarceration, but only this week has she shared photos of her travels on Instagram.

Ms Iaconis, a model and property manager, shared a gallery of herself visiting some of Tokyo’s most exclusive appointment-only designer stores, alongside the caption: ‘POV: Tokyo is my shopping cart.’

In one shot, Ms Iaconis is seen walking past the Louis Vuitton store in Tokyo’s famous Ginza shopping precinct while wearing faux-fur and carrying a Gucci shopping bag.

She also posted images from inside the world-renowned Matsuya Ginza shopping mall, and outside Tokyo’s Balenciaga store.

Ms Iaconis browsed high-end flagship stores for Jil Sander, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, and made a visit to Tokyo’s renowned Amore Vintage, which sells Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel and Prada, among other luxury brands.

While Silvagni wallows, Ms Iaconis continues to flaunt her glitzy lifestyle on Instagram, posting images of herself in designer gear, getting ready for brunch and modelling bikinis.

In the meantime, Silvagni is caged inside the Melbourne Assessment Prison, a maximum-security facility in the heart of the city where alleged offenders are housed as they wait for their matters to finalise.

Tom Silvagni enjoyed an elite and privileged life before his incarceration

In MAP, where Silvagni is being held as he awaits an appeal hearing for his rape conviction, prisoners are generally cell-bound for the majority of the day.

It is a far cry from the elite, privileged life the former Xavier College schoolboy had enjoyed before his incarceration.

Ms Iaconis had been present at the now infamous day-drinking session at Silvagni’s former family home in Balwyn North in January 2024, which ended with the ex-AFL player manager raping a young woman.

Silvagni’s sex assault took place while Ms Iaconis slept in the next bedroom – but she remained by his side up until he went into custody.

The victim had visited Silvagni’s home to hook up with the rapist’s former best friend Anthony LoGiudice.

Silvagni took his opportunity after LoGiudice – known as Mr B during the trial – had consensual sex with the victim and left the property.

Silvagni attempted to have his former mate cover for him, but the ploy backfired and now the friendship is done.

So is Stephen Silvagni’s friendship with Anthony’s dad and former Carlton president, Mark LoGiudice, who was in charge when Stephen left the club in messy circumstances at the end of 2019.

The two families are torn apart, and now the four friends who partied together that evening in January 2024 are all on different paths.

Silvagni is in jail, he and Anthony are no longer mates, Ms Iaconis is travelling the world, and Silvagni’s victim is just trying to get on with her life.

The victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, spoke out last month to reassure other sexual assault survivors that experiencing a roller-coaster of emotions is normal.

‘I’m here to share how I’m feeling, because hopefully it’s something you’ll be able to relate to,’ the victim said.

‘I know my socials might look like I’m going out all the time having fun and trying to continue my life, that does not mean I don’t have moments like this.

‘You know, it’s done basically, move on, you know, live life, enjoy this feeling of some sort of justice.

‘However, it is not that easy and that’s what I want to share to anyone that’s watching this that may be in the same shoes as me, because I know that will probably bring a little bit of comfort to show this is how it feels.’

Silvagni, 23, was found guilty after the court heard the victim had arrived at the house shortly after midnight, after she was invited by Ms Iaconis.

LoGiudice left the property shortly after having consensual sex with the victim.

However, Silvagni deceived the victim, falsely claiming LoGiudice’s Uber had been cancelled and that he would be returning upstairs.

Silvagni entered the darkened bedroom himself, climbed into the bed and impersonated LoGiudice before digitally raping the woman twice.

During December’s sentencing hearing, Silvagni sat in his prison greens and stared as Judge Greg Lyon detailed the vileness of the rapes.

Judge Lyon said Silvagni used ‘cunning, planning and strategy’ to deceive the victim once the ‘opportunity’ to rape her had ‘arisen’.

‘You committed the second rape over her protests…’ Judge Lyon said.

‘You tried to encourage your friend Anthony to take responsibility… your conduct towards the victim was egregious.’

Judge Lyon also said Silvagni hadn’t shown remorse and said his treatment of his lifelong friend LoGiudice was ‘utterly appalling’.
