A married music teacher charged with ‘penetrating’ a teenage schoolboy during ‘persistent’ sexual abuse has given birth to a baby allegedly fathered by her victim.

Naomi Tekea Craig, 33, was arrested on January 6 after allegedly engaging in the ‘persistent sexual conduct’ with a teenage boy in Mandurah, a coastal city 70km south of Perth, between 2024 and 2025.

Ms Craig was working at Frederick Irwin Anglican School at the time, a private co-educational Anglican school in Meadow Springs, with students from kindergarten to Year 12.

But she had been on maternity leave as she was pregnant with her second child.

It was revealed on Tuesday by The West that she recently gave birth to the baby.

DNA testing of a sample from her placenta may have also discovered a claimed link between the baby and her alleged victim.

At the time of her arrest she was charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 and under 16, possessing child exploitation material, and persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16.

But court documents, seen by The West, said Ms Craig is facing three additional offences which have not been publicly identified, as is common with cases regarding sexual offending against children.

Ms Craig has not yet entered a plea for any of the charges and is scheduled to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on January 27.

It is understood the alleged victim is no longer a pupil at Frederick Irwin Anglican School.

Following the arrest, Principal Tracey Gray sent a letter to parents and carers confirming the alleged victim is not a current student.

‘I regret to inform you that a teacher from our school has been arrested by police and charged with child-related offences,’ Ms Gray wrote.

‘The teacher has been instructed not to attend the school.

‘The information available to the school suggests that there is no need for any concern for any children at the school.’

According to an online work bio, Ms Craig began employment at the school in 2024, having previously worked as an independent private music teacher.

The Daily Mail has previously revealed that Ms Craig is a married mother who also goes by Ms Woods, her marital surname.

Posts on the school’s social media pages reveal Ms Craig, who was known to students as Ms Woods, was actively involved in their music events, including choirs, concerts, and shopping centre carols.

She was listed as being on maternity leave in a newsletter dated December 10, which has since been removed from the school’s website.

Ms Craig grew up in Mandurah and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Western Australia and a Diploma of Education from Edith Cowan University.

She later relocated to Melbourne, where she married her longtime partner in a lavish ceremony at Stones of the Yarra Valley on October 8, 2019 – having made a quick weekend getaway to Perth with friends three months earlier for her hens party.

A video posted online shows Ms Craig being walked down the aisle to meet her groom at the altar, before the newlyweds spent the night celebrating with family and friends.

Three years later, while still based in Victoria, the couple welcomed their first child, a little boy.

Maternity shoot photos show Ms Craig posing with her baby bump in March 2022 as she stood on a Mornington Peninsula beach dressed in white lingerie, brown broad-brimmed hat, and draped with a lace gown.

The then mum-to-be could be seen closing her eyes as she used her hands to cup her belly and chest before plunging down into the water.

The Daily Mail understands Ms Craig, her husband and child moved back to the Mandurah region sometime between late 2022 and 2023.

Property records show the couple then purchased a four-bedroom property in the area in June last year as they prepared to expand their family.
