TDC Ghana Ltd has officially inaugurated the TDC Pensioners Network, a landmark initiative aimed at deepening engagement with retired staff and preserving the rich institutional legacy of the Company.

The colourful ceremony brought together pensioners, management and staff of TDC Ghana Ltd to celebrate and honour the dedication and sacrifices of former employees whose years of service laid a strong foundation for the Company’s growth, transformation and nationwide impact.

Speaking at the event, an Executive Member of the Network, Mrs. Winifred Boachie-Yiadom, recounted the journey leading to the establishment of the Pensioners Network. She highlighted the resilience, persistence and collective effort of retired staff, noting that the successful formation of the Network was the result of shared vision and commitment to staying connected to TDC even after active service.

As part of the inauguration, the Network officially unveiled its logo and motto, **“United in Service, Happy Retirement,”** symbolising unity, shared purpose and the continued relevance of pensioners in the affairs of the Company.

In his address, the Managing Director of TDC Ghana Ltd, Mr. Courage K. M. Nunekpeku, described the inauguration as a significant milestone that formally recognises the enduring contributions of retired staff. He stressed that TDC’s estates, communities, systems and corporate culture are a direct result of the hard work and dedication of pensioners, adding that the Company’s current achievements are firmly built on their legacy.

Mr. Nunekpeku explained that the Pensioners Network is not merely a ceremonial body, but a structured platform for continued engagement, mentorship, knowledge sharing, mutual support and the preservation of TDC’s institutional memory. He also acknowledged the health and wellbeing challenges associated with ageing and assured pensioners that Management would explore structured welfare and support packages to ensure they live dignified and fulfilling lives in retirement.

The Managing Director further announced plans to establish an on-site daycare facility to support staff with young children, as part of broader efforts to promote work-life balance and create a more inclusive, family-friendly work environment.

He emphasised that the experience and wisdom of pensioners remain invaluable as TDC repositions itself to expand affordable housing delivery and roll out transformational projects across the country.

On his part, the President of the TDC Pensioners Network, Mr. Evans Y. Aryeequaye, expressed profound gratitude to Management for its support and commitment, describing the inauguration as a proud moment for all retired staff.
