Tamale City FC head coach Hamza Mohammed says they are fully capable of securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League ahead of their crucial Division One League playoff clash against Debibi United FC.
The experienced trainer expressed confidence before Wednesday’s decisive encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium, insisting mentality will play a key role in determining the outcome of the match.
“We can win. It’s all about our mentality on the day,” Hamza Mohammed said ahead of the playoff.
Tamale City earned qualification to the playoff after finishing top of Zone One A with 55 points, while Debibi United FC secured their place after topping Zone One B with 60 points.
The winner of the highly anticipated encounter will book qualification to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
Tamale City will now hope to carry their impressive form into the playoff as they aim for an immediate return to Ghana’s top-flight league.
