Ghanaian rapper, M.anifest, has shed light on the crucial qualities required for success in Ghana’s music industry.

He has stated that raw talent alone is not enough to attract investors and support.

Speaking in an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, M.anifest indicated that ‘financial potential’ plays a major role in securing backing from stakeholders in the music business.

“People won’t invest in you simply because you’re talented. They do so because they see potential for profit,” he stated.

The rapper also expressed concern over the slow progress of Ghana’s music industry compared to other creative sectors.

According to him, while the creative industry is currently making significant strides globally, Ghana’s version of this industry continues to lag behind.

“In terms of the music industry, we are far behind. Honestly, we haven’t reached the level we should be at as a country, nor are we doing justice to the incredible talent we possess,” he stated.
