Customers at one of Sydney‘s most popular inner-city restaurants have been forced to evacuate during the dinner service after a fire broke out in the kitchen.
Emergency services were called to the restaurant on George Street in the city’s centre about 7.30pm on Sunday night, NSW Police confirmed.
Pictures show multiple firetrucks were dispatched to the scene as a large crowd gathered outside the venue, which is part of the trendy Ivy Precinct. Nearby Jimmy’s Falafel was also caught up in the chaos with the restaurant forced to evacuate.
It’s understood there were no serious injuries and the fire is under control.
