Swedru All Blacks recorded an important 1–0 victory over defending champions Samartex in their Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday.

After a tightly contested and goalless first half, the breakthrough came in the second period when Zayat Abubakari stepped up to convert from the penalty spot, calmly dispatching the ball past the Samartex goalkeeper to hand the hosts the lead.

Samartex responded with increased urgency and pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but the All Blacks remained disciplined at the back to protect their advantage. Despite late pressure from the Timber Giants, the home side held firm to secure all three points.

The victory provides a timely boost for Swedru All Blacks as they look to improve their standing in the league, while Samartex will be left disappointed after failing to capitalize on their spells of dominance.
