    Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface has announced that he has undergone surgery following a knee contusion.

    In multiple posts shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, the footballer said he has been putting on a fake smile for over a year now, but he is still grateful to God as only God knows why all that is happening to him.

    He wrote, “Been putting fake smile for almost a year.”

    “But God know why all this is happening. Grateful to God”

    In another post, he shared an update about his surgery urging people not to enter depression in any situation.

    He said, “Bbl done and dusted.”

    “Omo if e reach ur turn make depression wound you.”

    He also thanked his fans and well-wishers who have been messaging him, “Thanks for the messages”, he added.

    PUNCH Online, in June 2025, reported that the footballer missed the 2025 AFCON after he suffered a major abductor injury on the eve of the tournament in Ivory Coast.
