Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson is expected to undergo a medical at Wrexham today after the clubs agreed a fee around £8million.
Sunderland are looking at Ipswich‘s Alex Palmer as a possible replacement. The 29-year-old is valued around £2m.
Patterson, 26, is a former England Under-21 international and was on loan at Millwall last season.
Sunderland defender Arthur Masuaku is finalising his move to Konyaspor, in Turkey. A deal between the clubs was agreed over the weekend.
Masuaku joined Sunderland last summer and spent the second half of last season on loan at Lens.
Belgian club Mechelen have agreed a deal to sign Black Cats defender Leo Hjelde.

Hull City are looking to secure further goalkeeping cover amid news summer signing Jack Butland could be sidelined for 12 weeks.
As Daily Mail Sport reported on Saturday, Butland damaged his arm in training on Friday before Hull flew out to Frankfurt for their friendly so did not travel. He is expected to undergo surgery.
They could sign a goalkeeper on loan at least until January.
Their other new goalkeeper signing, Konstantinos Tzolakis, made his debut against Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2-0 defeat and is expected to start the opening game against Manchester United in the Premier League with Dillon Phillips providing cover.
Hull used a total of 25 players in the Frankfurt game, with Jens Hjerto-Dahl also making his first appearance.
Their final friendly is against French Ligue 1 side Nice.
Hull completed the £3m signing of Sweden international Elliot Stroud from Mjallby yesterday.
The wing-back joined on a four-year contract, which includes an option for a fifth.
The 24-year-old featured in all four of Sweden’s matches at the 2026 World Cup.
