Ghanaian reggae musician and media personality, Blakk Rasta, has urged Stonebwoy to put an end to what he described as the unhealthy controversy with some popular event organizers ahead of his album tour in the UK.

In a discussion on United Showbiz on February 22, 2025, Blakk Rasta urged Stonebwoy to prove that he is an international artiste who doesn’t need the support of successful event organizers like Akwaaba UK to have a successful concert.

He emphasized that Stonebwoy should simply focus on his craft and stop seeking sympathy or making unnecessary claims that he is being sabotaged.

“How is Akwaaba UK sabotaging Stonebwoy? In business, there is nothing like sympathy because I am doing what is going to give me the power. So, if I were Stonebwoy right now, I would tell him to stop these unnecessary talks that someone is sabotaging him.

“He should show them he is an international artiste. How has he branded himself to the point that he doesn’t need the Ghanaian market for people to come?” he said.

Blakk Rasta further tasked Stonebwoy to improve his craft, adding that he has reached a point in his career where he cannot afford to relax.

“I think he has reached a certain point in his career whereby he needs to up his game and not feel relaxed. If he is to base the numbers, he gets in Ghana to determine how the event in the UK would be, he is making a mistake because Ghanaians are parochial when it comes to events…

He should go out there and prove his worth. He should come up and spend money on his brand. Lose but get the brand solid… If you look at his backing vocalists, it is like they are playing. Ghanaian arts must raise the bar. We have to brand ourselves to the point where we would be considered as international artistes,” he added.

Blakk Rasta’s comments are in response to a recent back-and-forth between Stonebwoy‘s manager, Chief Stylz, and the CEO of Akwaaba UK, Dennis Tawiah, over the clash of dates for their upcoming events in the UK.
