A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to warn Aso-Ebi ladies against participating in wedding games to extort groomsmen for their financial gain.

In a fury, the woman @mummyk114 strongly condemned the custom of buying Aso-Ebi solely to participate in a game where a bridesmaid chooses a groomsman and demands money.

The woman recounted her experience at a recent wedding party she and her husband attended together.

She mentioned that the MC had instructed a bridesmaid to bring a man to the dancing floor and the lady chose her husband without her objection.

The MC told the bridesmaid to ask her husband for anything when they arrived at the dance floor, and the lady boldly requested a whopping sum of ₦100,000.

The outrageous amount prompted @mummyk114 to furiously walk her husband out of the extortion scheme disguised as a game.

The woman warned that Aso-Ebi ladies should exercise caution because wedding guests have come to celebrate and lavish money on the newlyweds; therefore, they should refrain from trying to extort because of a game.
