For the over 100,000 BECE graduates who did not receive placement in any of the 11 schools they initially selected, the Ministry of Education has now activated the 2024 School Self-Placement Module. This tool offers candidates the opportunity to choose a different school or update their selection if they were not placed in one of their preferred institutions.

    Who Needs the Self-Placement Module?

The self-placement portal is essential for the 104,918 students who passed the BECE but did not secure a spot in one of the 11 schools they had selected. Additionally, the Ministry of Education has assigned about 73,390 students to schools similar to those they selected but for which they didn’t initially secure placement.

However, it’s important to note that students who were automatically placed into one of their original choices cannot use the self-placement portal to change their assigned school.

    Step-by-Step Guide to 2024 BECE School Self-Placement

    1. Access the CSSPS Portal

Visit the official CSSPS portal for school placement.

    2. Enter Your Index Number

Input your index number, appending “24” to the end.

Verify that your index number is correct before proceeding.

    3. Check Your Placement

Click “Proceed” to review your current placement status.

If not automatically redirected, click on the “Self-Placement” link.

    4. Make Your Selections on the Self-Placement Page

Select Region: Choose your preferred region.

Select School: Pick your desired school from the available options.

Program of Choice: Choose your preferred academic program.

Accommodation Preference: Specify your boarding or day status.

Click “Proceed” or “Submit” when all selections are complete.

    5. Print Necessary Documents

Print the placement slip, form, and prospectus as confirmation.

For assistance on school placement or replacement whatsapp or call 0245752336

    Important Details

Students using the self-placement portal can make changes to their school choice multiple times. However, once a student begins the enrollment process at a selected school, further changes will be locked.

Admissions officially begin on October 30, 2024, with all SHS 1 students required to report to their assigned schools on November 7, 2024.

Many schools are offering online admission processes this year. Parents are encouraged to contact the school to which their child has been assigned for guidance on completing the online admission process.
