    The late Castro was a Ghanaian musician The late Castro was a Ghanaian musician

    Theophilus Tagoe popular known in the music scene as Castro D’Destroyer or Castro Under Fire, was a highlife recording artiste and musician.

    He officially entered the music scene in 2003 with his hit song “Sradenam”. His career gained further recognition through collaborations, particularly his feature on the 4×4 hit “Sikletele,” which introduced him to a wider audience. 

    He also contributed vocals to Buk Bak’s album before releasing his debut album, “sradenam”.

    Castro‘s music discography includes several albums and singles, with varying degrees of success.

    * Toffee

    * Comm. Center

    * MARTYR

    * Stay Hungry

    * The New Genesis

    * Self Made

    * Infidelity

    * Sounds From Castro

    * The River Need

    * BABYLON

    Some of his hit songs included

    * Sradenam

    * African girls, featuring Asamoah Gyan, this song was a major hit and won an award at the Ghana Music Awards. 

    * Do The dance

    * Jealousy go shame 

    And many others.

    Castro received many awards in his time, some of them being.

    Hiplife Song of the Year 2006, Hiplife Album of the Year 2006, Best Hiplife Song of the Year 2011, Highlife Song of the Year 2014 as well as some international recognitions.

    He was known for collaborations, including with Asamoah Gyan and Sarkodie. 

    Tragically, Castro disappeared in 2014 during a holiday trip, leaving behind a legacy of music and unanswered questions.
