Defending champions Spintex Knights continued their title chase with a hard fought 57–53 victory over the University of Ghana in the second semi-final of the ongoing Accra Basketball League (ABL) Playoffs on Tuesday, October 29, at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

This fixture marked the second meeting between the two sides in the playoffs. The Knights had won the first encounter 70–41, but after a five day break, UG returned with renewed intensity, taking control of the first half and leading 30–23 at the break.

However, the Knights who recently booked qualification to the BAL Elite 16 showed their championship mentality. They regrouped, tightened their defense, and executed key offensive plays to overturn the scoreline in the final stages, sealing a crucial 4-point win.

Omari Benjamin delivered an outstanding performance and was named Player of the Match, recording 11 points and 9 rebounds, playing a pivotal role in the comeback.

The Knights’ starting lineup featured Asante Frederick, Elvis Pobi Siaw, Omari Benjamin, Bassey Effiong, and Oumar Abakah.
