Kamaldeen Sulemana’s stunning strike over the weekend was a long-awaited testament to his immense talent, which has been hindered by a string of injuries and limited opportunities under former coach Russell Martin.

However, with Ivan Jurić now at the helm, Sulemana is finally getting the chance to showcase his skills, and the young winger is making the most of it. Under the Croatian coach, it’s evident that the Ghanaian’s fortunes are improving at Southampton.

Jurić’s tenure has seen Sulemana start back-to-back games for the first time in over six months, emphasizing how integral he is to Jurić’s game plan.

With Sulemana also delivering impressive performances in those matches, Jurić has praised him for his contributions while acknowledging the challenges he has faced with the Saints.

“He’s a young player; he needs confidence, but he can help us a lot. I knew him before—I know everything about Sulemana from when he played in France and the difficulties he has had here. I think he’s a good player, and now, at this moment, good players need to stay at Southampton,” Jurić said.
