Black Stars coach, Otto Addo has attributed his side’s defeat in Seoul to South Korea’s superior finishing.

The Black Stars on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, lost 1-0 against South Korea in the Kirin Challenge Cup at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Speaking after the game, coach Otto Addo admitted that his team created enough chances to win the game but they couldn’t covert the chances that came their way.

“I think it was a good game from both sides. In the end, they were more clinical with the chances they had.”

“I think we had good ball possession but also a lot of chances we created which we couldn’t use. I think the game was kind of even. It was good to watch.”

The defeat marks back-to-back losses for the Black Stars in the 2025 Kirin Challenge Cup. Ghana lost 2-0 against Japan in the first game on Friday, November 14.
