Following comments she made about men making advances at women, popular comedienne Jacinta Ocansey has shared how some admirers had offered her some expensive gifts as a show of appreciation.

In an interview on Hitz FM on September 4, 2025, the stand-up comedienne recounted how she had twice been offered a car, specifically a Toyota RAV4, by an admirer, describing such gestures as normal in her line of work.

“Somebody has offered me a car before. Someone who admires me. It was a Toyota Rav 4, there was no Lamborghini in the system then. It was more than once. So these things are normal. They happen in the line of work I am in,” she said.

Jacinta’s comments echo her earlier stance on advances from men, where she expressed that there is nothing inherently wrong with men making approaches toward women, so long as such approaches are respectful.

“I don’t see anything wrong with a man making passes at a woman. It depends on you as a woman; nothing spoils if you want it or not. A man would always make advances at a woman; it’s you who wants or doesn’t want. He would move to the next person. It doesn’t make him a bad man, and it does not make you a better woman,” she had said.

She added that problems would only arise when a man refuses to respect boundaries or tries to take advantage of a woman’s vulnerability.
