Controversial personality, Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan claimed on social media that an unknown individual hacked into his NGO website and moved ₦180m from its account.

He claims that one of the hackers has been taken into custody in Jos Plateau State, and that the police are involved. He highlighted that ₦180 million was moved from the NGO’s account but only ₦20 million has been recovered.

On October 14, 2024, he started the Martins Vincent Otse Initiative, and within 24 hours he received a donation of ₦33 million from benevolent Nigerians. In addition, Mavins record label boss, Don Jazzy donated an incredible ₦100 million to the non-profit organization.

The NGO account has been shut and put on maintenance until a proper investigation is carried out and the money is refunded to the account.

The news has triggered criticism online with netizens questioning why the money wasn’t deposited in a bank instead of a website.

Internet users alleged that if the terrible occurrence had happened to another NGO, the controversial personality would have gone out of his way to criticize them publicly.
