Following the prophecy by Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun, which did not materialise regarding former MP Kennedy Agyapong’s win in the NPP’s Presidential Primary, actor and vocal NPP supporter Prince David Osei has criticised some pastors for issuing “false prophecies.”

In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, the actor noted that some pastors are embarrassing God and speaking words God never said.

Prince David Osei further observed that trusting some pastors today feels like playing hide-and-seek with the devil.

‘I left my phone to my cousins, after my congratulatory post’ – Prince David Osei claims after social media attacks

“Some of you pastors are honestly embarrassing God, speaking what He never said and walking around with pride like it’s a virtue. No wonder so many believers now seek the face of Elohim for themselves. Trusting some pastors today feels like playing hide-and-seek with the devil,” he wrote.

However, Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun has issued a public apology after his prophetic declaration concerning the NPP’s presidential primaries failed to materialise.

In a statement titled “Public Statement & Apology,” on January 31, 2026, the prophet admitted that he wrongly prophesied that Kenned Agyapong would emerge as the winner of the NPP presidential primaries and become the party’s flagbearer.

He acknowledged that the prophecy affected people emotionally, spiritually, and politically, particularly those who made decisions based on his declaration.

“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” he stated.
