Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama

Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has revealed that some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have confided in him that they will vote massively for the umbrella family in the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Mahama says these individuals, who are his friends, told him that the Nana Addo administration, with support from his vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has failed to deliver on their promises.

Speaking at the NDC’s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina on Thursday, December 5, 2024, the former president said there are some NPP core members who want the party to go into opposition so they can restructure it and prepare it for the next elections.

“Some NPP members are disappointed in the failure of the Nana Addo and Bawumia leadership. A lot of the NPP members have promised to vote for the NDC so the party will go back to opposition for them to restore the party to its former glory.

“Some of my friends in the party have confided in me that Nana Addo and Bawumia have disgraced the NPP, so they want me to keep fighting hard and win the elections so they will take back the party and restructure it before contesting any other election.”

He stressed the need for Ghanaian voters to vote massively for him because he will deliver a leadership that is superior to that of the NPP.

“Your vote is your voice, your vote is your power, and your vote is your key to unlocking a better future for the people of Ghana.

“I urge you to take action on Saturday. This is not a decision we can leave for another time. This is not a decision we can leave for another election or another generation. This is our moment, and the time is now to bring about the change we need in order to reset Ghana,” Mahama added.
