On Saturday, March 28, 2016, at the World Siam Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, a fierce battle took place in the Highland Boxing Promotions event, organized by highly skilled promoters, Mr. Brico Santig and Mr. Supanat Chanram, featuring championship fights for the WBA Oceania, ABF, and IBO Asia belts. Thirteen pairs of skilled fighters from around the world delivered thrilling matches. The atmosphere was lively and exciting, with Thai and international boxing fans cheering enthusiastically from ringside.

The main event was the WBA Oceania Super Lightweight Championship scheduled for 10 rounds, between Somchai Wongsuwan (5-0, 3KOs), Southeast Asian Games 2023 Gold medalist and Asian championship 2024 Silver medalist, VS former undefeated Brad Morgan (11-1, 10KOs) of Australia. Early in the third round, Somchai continued his speed, unleashing a barrage of left and right punches to Morgan’s face, resulting in further bleeding. Finally, the ringside doctor advised referee to stop the fight and Somchai Wongsuwan was declared the winner by TKO, securing the WBA Oceania 140lb belt.

The co-main event, Dhruv Supeyia (5-1, 5Kos) vs. Peter Msyoka (10-2, 10Kos) for the vacant IBO Asia Cruiserweight championship fight.
