Ghanaian socialite, Pamela Odame Watara, has recounted how she ran away from home as a teenager due to peer pressure from friends.

In an interview on Nayas TV on January 29, 2025, Pamela Odame Watara noted that she feels disappointed whenever she recounts her decision.

“It wasn’t easy when I came to Accra at a very young age. And I will accept the blame also because no one forced me to come here. I regret my decision after growing up. I didn’t have a place to sleep, and food to eat was also a problem for me. I regretted it when I entered my early twenties,” she said.

Pamela Watara also shared how her constant posting on social media negatively affected her personality.

She explained that she didn’t understand the consequences of her actions; however, she has grown to understand the power of social media.

“I decided to plan my life from the age of 24. That was when I realised that I had to cut some people off and be mature-minded. It’s not too late in life, but I made some mistakes that I regret when I remember. My whole attention at that time was to become famous on social media. In Ghana, negativity trends, so I didn’t care about the outcome. I realised I could have trended positively. Sometimes, I can’t even watch videos I did some years ago because I feel shy,” she added.
