From TV personalities to musicians to creatives-turned-government appointees, many praised the president for his empathy and humility, celebrating him as a leader committed to the betterment of the Ghanaian citizens.

Happy birthday to H.E President John D. Mahama 🙏

Instead of a lavish celebration, President Mahama visited children’s wards at LEKMA Hospital and Maamobi Polyclinic in Accra, accompanied by his wife and children, to bring cheer and support to sick young patients.

During the visits, he donated gifts and cash to each child — and in one case, personally facilitated the referral of a child to a higher-level facility for further treatment.
