    A video of a young Nigerian single mother breaking down in tears after selling her mobile phone has stirred reactions online.

    In the emotional clip, the visibly distressed woman is seen crying uncontrollably as she explains that she had no choice but to sell the phone to buy food for her daughter.

    She had arrived at the popular electronics market hoping to sell the device for a reasonable price, expressing frustration over her inability to provide for her child.

    The heart-wrenching clip has since gone viral on multiple social media platforms, prompting an outpouring of empathy from Nigerians.

    Many users have described the incident as a reminder of the economic hardship faced by millions, especially single parents navigating life without financial or emotional support.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “I feel for her… I hope the father of her child and her family members come through for her… Most importantly get a Job to sustain herself and baby.”

    “This is heartbreaking on every level. A woman shouldn’t have to sell her property to feed a child both parents brought into the world.”

    “This is truly heartbreaking. No mother should ever have to choose between her phone and feeding her child. Life is really tough out there, may help and hope find her soon.”

    “And her daughter is so adorable. This really is heartbreaking Struggling and going to such lengths to feed her daughter. Really hoping she gets the assistance and help that’ll ease her struggles.“
