UK-based Ghanaian actress and singer Stephanie Benson has offered advice to couples grappling with marriage challenges.

In a video shared on her Instagram page on February 19, 2026, Stephanie Benson recounted how her single friends nearly affected her marriage in its early stages.

According to her, she used to seek advice from single friends who barely understood what marriage entails.

Not every piece of advice should be taken – Stephanie Benson

She added that, if not for her husband’s loyalty, some of her friends might have attempted to become intimate with him.

“When we got married, I didn’t have any married friends, so I used to tell my single friends everything. After our discussions, she would also tell her friends. It got to a point where all of them behaved suspiciously whenever I was around.

“Some were even behaving seductively toward my husband. Assuming my husband wasn’t a good and faithful man, they would have slept with him,” she said.

Sharing advice with young couples, Stephanie Benson cautioned against discussing marital problems with strangers or casual friends.

According to her, the best people to confide in are trusted family members or experienced married individuals.

“You can speak to your mother or a sibling you trust. Or better still, look for a married person who is living an exemplary lifestyle and confide in them,” she added.
