Ghanaian gospel artiste Rose Adjei has weighed in on growing concerns about division and discord within Ghana’s gospel music industry.

In an interview with Onua FM on Thursday, June 12, 2025, Adjei stated that conflicts among gospel musicians stem from their individual personalities and personal differences.

“The gospel industry is made up of people from diverse backgrounds. Just because someone sings gospel music doesn’t mean they automatically have good character,” she noted.

Adjei revealed that tensions exist among some artistes, with a few harboring dislike for their colleagues or engaging in unprofessional conduct, including verbal attacks.

“There are gospel musicians who don’t get along with others, and some who speak carelessly. That’s their personality, it has nothing to do with the songs they sing,” she explained.

Despite these challenges, Adjei urged her fellow musicians to uphold higher standards of conduct, stating that their actions should reflect the messages they preach through their music.

“If you find yourself in this profession, you must discipline yourself. Your behavior should reflect the gospel you preach,” she advised.

Her comments come amid ongoing discussions about unity in the gospel music scene, following similar concerns raised by other artistes such as Broda Sammy, Mavis Asante, Esther Smith, and many others.
