Nigerian singer Waje refused to let a rude and insulting comment made by a troll on her Christmas posts slide, but instead of replying in kind, she decided to use the opportunity to lecture the troll.
Like many other Nigerian celebrities’, Waje had taken to social media, this time X (Twitter) to share stunning pictures of herself in a Christmas-themed photoshoot.
Unfortunately, the innocent post was ridiculed after an unknown person commented;
“Upon makeup, you still look old,”
Upon seeing the comment, Waje decided to reply gracefully and maturely, refusing to stoop down to the level of the troll. She wrote;
“Aging is a blessing, hopefully, you’ll experience it in your lifetime. Merry Christmas child.”
She used the opportunity to educate the troll, showing her maturity. Many commended her for her reply, using her as an example of how celebrities should deal with trolls.
