Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo shared a post on his Instagram that many parents raising teenagers could relate to.

In the video, the singer tried to get his teenagers to go to bed by demanding they submit their phones to him for the night.

He started asking them one by one if they had dropped their phones for the night, to which his girls confirmed they had, but his son continued to resist.

As he tried to collect his son’s phone, the teenagers, unsatisfied with the phone curfew, began to protest against their father, citing reasons why they should be allowed to keep their phones.

Stating things like they wanted to use it to listen to praise songs, or they needed it to read, they tried to convince their father to remove the curfew, but he was unwilling to do so.

Lamenting about his situation online, Timi stated,

“Come back to me, when you have started raising teenagers.

In this day and Age, raising teenagers is a super skill.”

Many parents could not help but agree with him, citing their own difficulties trying to raise their teenagers.
