Thousands of Americans have agreed with Donald Trump that Boeing should rush the building of the new Air Force One – so it would crash and kill him.
The trolls filled social media with sick jokes and outright appeals to the airline maker after reports Trump was impatient with how long Boeing was taking.
Trump told Elon Musk to use his Department of Government Efficiency to explore drastic measures to get the two planes in the air within months.
Measures under consideration include relaxing security clearance standards for some workers, and cutting corners like security features.
Americans who despise Trump gleefully responded to the news and jokingly – and some more seriously – implored Boeing to pull out all the stops.
‘Rush those babies out the door! I see a wonderful plane crash on the horizon!’ one post on social media read.
But the trolls hoping for a plane crash to kill Trump are in fact wishing death on dozens of innocent people.
The president and his staff are far from the only people who fly on Air Force One, as it has a crew of 26 and carries up to 102 passengers.

They include Secret Service, cooks, military personnel, stewards, journalists, and various officials and guests who are just doing their jobs.
Some commenters referred to them as ‘collateral damage’ when this was pointed out.
Comments hoping for a plane crash made up the vast majority of replies to social media posts by news outlets reporting Trump’s frustrations.
Most were veiled and jokingly written, enthusiastically agreeing with Trump that Boeing should cut corners and citing the embattled company’s recent history of mid-air incidents.
‘Please get him his airplanes! Even if they have to skip over numerous safety inspections!’ one read.
Another added: ‘I wouldn’t fly in something that Boeing rushed to get done. But, Trump can go ahead.’
‘Yes! Cut all the corners. Including safety. Rush rush rush. Love this idea,’ a third wrote.
A fourth added: ‘So you want Boeing, the company that makes essential safety systems “optional” to speed up??? Good… hope you crash.’

But others had a much darker tone, and openly wished for a plane crash.
‘Oh please, rush it. Put it together with model glue. Send them both up! Boeing, now is your time to right the wrongs,’ one read.
‘Maybe his plane will go down. The irony,’ a second wrote.
Another user replied: ‘Literally praying for this. I would never need another Christmas present for the rest of my life.’
Some comments also targeted Musk and Vice President JD Vance, whom they hoped would also go down with the plane.
‘Yeah speed it up. ignore all the safety concerns. Maybe your new plane will fall from the sky like all the other ones have done since you’ve assumed office. Please make sure Elon is sitting next to you,’ one wrote.
Another added: ‘They should deliver him a faulty plane, making sure both he and Elon crashes. As he said, when saving the country the laws doesn’t matter.’
A few at least hoped Trump and other targets of their hate would be flying with a skeleton crew to minimize casualties.
‘Let Boeing rush this! Please! Omg that would be great news! But only if he is the only person to ride it,’ one wrote.
‘Let that bird fall out of the sky in a fireball so we can all celebrate!’
One bizarre comment asked if Luigi Mangione, who allegedly murdered the boss of insurance giant UnitedHealthcare in December, could ‘get his pilot’s license from jail’.
