It began as a plot to lure a man into the desert, rough him up and warn him away from a teenage girl he was stalking and harassing.
It ended with a man losing his life, shot six times in the head and neck, his bullet-ridden body left on the outskirts of Sin City.
Sandy Shaw, aged just 15 years old, was arrested and charged with murder – alongside 18-year-old Troy Kell and 17-year-old Billy Merritt – in September 1986.
The shocking story of three teens killing a 21-year-old man in a violent attack hit headlines across Las Vegas at a time when the mob ruled the city and kept crime on the down low.
The local press quickly named Shaw the ‘Show and Tell killer’, after the prosecutor falsely claimed she was the mastermind and had taken friends out to view the victim’s body.
Now – after 21 years in prison, 15 on parole and three since she was pardoned – Shaw is speaking out.
Speaking to the Daily Mail’s Crime Correspondent Rachel Sharp, Shaw reveals what really happened that day – and the sliding door moment two years earlier that she believes likely changed the whole course of her life.
