The man says he remained a virgin as part of a vow to God

In a radio interview that has left listeners both stunned and amused, a 58-year-old man has revealed that he has remained a virgin his entire life as part of a vow to God but now wants to marry.

The man, who appeared on Kasapa FM’s show hosted by Akosua Ahwenepa, shared his extraordinary life story, leaving the host and listeners in disbelief.

When asked about his marital status, the man confidently declared, “No child, no wife, no girlfriend. That is the standard.”

The host, visibly shocked, pressed further, asking if he was a virgin.

The man responded, “That is the level,” prompting Akosua to exclaim, “You have never slept with a woman before?!”

The man explained that his commitment to celibacy began in his childhood after he fell in love with the sound of the piano in church and decided to dedicate his life to God.

He initially wanted to become a pastor but changed his mind after realising he couldn’t meet certain expectations.

Instead, he vowed to remain faithful to God, a promise he has kept for 58 years.

“Those days they used to carry me on the back to the church. Then, I didn’t know that I had music in me. But when I heard the sound of the piano, my heart felt like I was in heaven. So my mind let me be here all the time.

“I wanted to be a pastor. But later I changed my mind because there were certain wrong things that I would not do. So I told God, ‘I’ll be faithful to you.’ And I maintained my word to this very day,” he narrated.

However, in a twist that left the host speechless, the man revealed he is now open to marriage. “Yes, I want to get married now,” he said.

Akosua, unable to contain her surprise, asked, “You want to break your virginity now?!”

The man chuckled and replied, “There are things I will tell you off-air.”

The interview took an even funnier turn when Akosua read a WhatsApp message from a listener asking if the man was interested in getting married. The man confirmed his interest.

Social media exploded with reactions, with many jokingly volunteering to help the man “break his vow.”

Others praised his dedication, calling him a “legend” and a “true man of God.” One user wrote, “58 years of celibacy? This man deserves a medal.”
