Maame Serwaa, a Ghanaian actress, appears to have joined the bandwagon of female celebrities who have undergone cosmetic surgery to look curvier.

In a video published online, the actress, dressed in tight-fitting attire, flaunted her flat stomach and hourglass body. Some followers in the comments assumed that she had undergone surgery to improve her appearance.

The comments area was flooded with responses, with some admirers firmly claiming that the actress had “gone under the knife” to improve her physique, while others praised her striking beauty.

Although Maame Serwaa has neither acknowledged or denied these rumors, her makeover has sparked debates regarding celebrities’ rising use of physical enhancement operations.

She is hardly alone in encountering such thoughts. Several Ghanaian celebrities, including Nana Ama McBrown, Kisa Gbekle, and Abena Korkor, have openly admitted to having cosmetic treatments, hence normalising the practice in the entertainment sector.

While some people choose these treatments to increase their confidence or restore their pre-pregnancy bodies, others do so due to societal expectations or career responsibilities.
