Shatta Wale has indicated that he would be open to joining Kennedy Agyapong’s presidential bid as running mate if the politician extends such an offer to him.
The dancehall artiste made the comments during a TikTok Live session, where he spoke about his interest in contributing to efforts aimed at addressing challenges confronting Ghana’s young population.
According to Shatta Wale, he believes he has ideas and qualities that could be useful in shaping policies and initiatives focused on the youth.
“If Kennedy Agyapong calls me to be his running mate, it’s a good thing,” he said.
He questioned whether political leaders fully appreciate the qualities and influence young people see in him, suggesting that the youth have their own understanding of the kind of leadership they need.
“I wonder if they see the qualities that you, the youth, see in me. I feel like we are in a world where the youth are seeing what they want, and the people who can lead them,” Shatta Wale averred.

The artiste further said he would be willing to work with any political party that is prepared to involve him in developing solutions for young people.
“Any political party that calls me to help them so they can see how to manage the youth, I have ideas to give them,” he stated.
Shatta Wale said his interest is not limited to holding political office but also extends to sharing ideas that could translate into policies designed to empower the younger generation.
He revealed that he has previously spoken with politicians about some of his ideas and believes he could contribute meaningfully to discussions around youth development and empowerment if given the platform.
