Following the release of Stonebwoy’s EP titled, ‘The Torcher’, social media has been buzzing with reactions to the lyrics of one of its tracks.
The song, ‘Deeper’, featured lyrics where Stonebwoy expressed gratitude for the fact that none of his properties had been impounded by the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO).
The line was interpreted by many on social media as a subtle jab at his nemesis, Shatta Wale, who recently had his Lamborghini Urus seized by EOCO in collaboration with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
However, Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylz has denied claims that the line was a jab. Stating that the line was rather a prophecy come true.
In a post on his X handle in reply to a post about the song, Chief Stylz stated, “Interestingly it’s a manifestation of a prophecy not a jab.. this song was recorded earlier this year believe me.”
His reply was met with mixed reactions on social media with some expressing their delight over the song and the album in general.
In August 2025, Shatta Wale became embroiled in a high-profile probe when EOCO seized his 2019 Lamborghini Urus.
The vehicle was flagged by the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice as potentially purchased with funds linked to a US$4 million fraud scheme orchestrated by Ghanaian national Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is serving a prison sentence in the U.S.
Shatta Wale voluntarily appeared at EOCO on August 20 to assist with investigations.
.
He claimed he bought the car “from the street” via WhatsApp from someone named “ZAK,” but could neither provide a receipt nor contact for the seller.
The only document in his possession was a customs declaration form bearing Amuah’s name .
He was initially granted bail at GH₵10 million with two sureties.
Could Stonebwoy be throwing fresh jabs at Shatta Wale in ‘Deeper’ song?
Meanwhile, throughout his detention, fans rallied outside EOCO offices, chanting and demanding his release.
His bail was later reduced to GH₵5 million, and he was required to report to EOCO three times a week as investigations proceed .
Following his bail, Shatta Wale publicly thanked both EOCO and his supporters, praising the professionalism with which he was treated and promising a special concert in appreciation.
