Ghanaian musician Shatana is in high spirits following recent remarks by Pastor Jakes Tetteh, founder of Redeemed Kingdom Gospel Church at Botwe Third Gate, which seemingly validate her hit song Moneycetamol.

Pastor Tetteh, while addressing his congregation, described money as “Moneycetamol”—a play on words likening financial stability to a pain-relieving drug.

He emphasized that financial struggles could lead to frustration, prostitution, insomnia, and even death, stressing the need for both spiritual and financial empowerment.

Shatana, whose song ‘Moneycetamol’ has been a subject of widespread debate, has taken the pastor’s statement as an endorsement of her message. The song, which highlights the importance of financial independence and security, has sparked conversations even within religious circles.

Reacting to the pastor’s remarks, Shatana shared her excitement on social media, suggesting that her song is more than just entertainment but a reflection of real-life struggles.

“Even the church acknowledges it now. Moneycetamol is a movement, not just a song!” she wrote.

With the rising cost of living, the conversation around money’s role in daily survival continues to gain traction, and Shatana appears to be enjoying every moment of the attention her song is receiving.
