In its 25th anniversary year , SES Boxing, the Magdeburg-based boxing stable, impressively reaffirmed its position as one of the leading forces in German professional boxing. With historic sporting achievements, international title wins, and professionally organized events , SES Boxing set numerous standards once again in 2025 .
A milestone in German boxing history was marked by Tina Rupprecht from Augsburg, who became the undisputed world champion by winning all the world titles of the major boxing organizations. This was an achievement previously unmatched by any German female or male boxer.
Throughout the rest of the year, the SES boxers continued to impress on the international stage: Artur Reis won the IBF and WBO Europe titles , and Julian Vogel successfully defended his WBO Junior World Championship title twice . Roman Fress reclaimed the WBO Intercontinental title , and Armend Xhoxhaj also won the WBO Europe title in the cruiserweight division.
At the world level , Roman Fress (WBO #1) and Michael Eifert (IBF #1) are poised to make further sporting headlines in the coming year. Both boxers are currently ranked number one in their respective world rankings and thus have a direct claim to world championship fights. Roman Fress will already be fighting for the WBO interim cruiserweight world title against WBO #3 Tommy Punch (Tahir Kahrovic) on March 7th at the Magdeburg Exhibition Center .
The youth program also developed very positively. Heavyweight talent Michel Dobler competed in all four SES boxing events of the year and won every single fight . The two-meter-tall, 22-year-old from Thuringia, who now lives and trains in Magdeburg, is considered a promising candidate for a Junior World Championship in 2026 .
Furthermore, the “ Team Germany” boxers Max Suske (Stralsund) and Paul Schmidt (Magdeburg) will continue their sporting development at SES Boxing and want to take further steps at the national level in 2026 .
Organizationally, SES Boxing underlined its strong market position with four high-class boxing evenings featuring live TV broadcasts in this anniversary year.
SES promoter Ulf Steinforth and manager Benedikt Poelchau were very satisfied with the course of the boxing year 2025 and look forward with great anticipation to the sporting challenges of the year 2026.
