Ghanaian rapper Medikal has heaped praises on President John Dramani Mahama, commending his leadership and efforts to revive the country’s economy.

In a post shared on X on May 30, 2025, Medikal expressed admiration for Mahama’s governance, stating that he wish the former president could remain in power for a longer period due to what he described as dedication to “resetting” the economy.

“You people should pray that Mahama doesn’t leave power, ooh. Very serious guy!” the rapper wrote.

Medikal went on to suggest that if President Mahama were to step down, the presidency should be handed over to either his brother cum businessman Ibrahim Mahama or former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen, popularly known as “Alan Cash.”

According to the rapper, both individuals possess the vision and ambition necessary to transform Ghana into a great nation.

“Even if he does finish his term, he should pass it over to Ibrahim Mahama, his brother, or Alan Cash. These men have serious ambitions to make Ghana a great nation, trust me,” Medikal added.
