    The Koforidua Jubilee Park in the New Juaben South Municipality of the Eastern Region has been left in a deplorable state following its construction in 2007.

    Due to poor maintenance of the facility, the current condition of the park shows parts of the roof ripped off, the floor covered with dirt and debris, green patches on the walls, and the electric meter left to burn.

    Despite the facility’s deterioration, it has been hosting events such as funerals and other gatherings to generate revenue. However, its maintenance has been problematic.

    In a video shared by EDHUB on X, the grass on the pitch has dried up and turned into a dusty area due to the lack of regular watering and maintenance.

    The park was constructed in 2007 as part of a series of parks across regional capitals to commemorate Ghana’s 50th independence anniversary.

    It was designed as a key landmark for the city, offering a venue for various events and celebrations, but poor rehabilitation has turned it into a neglected area.

    This raises concerns about the deteriorating state of some stadiums in the country that have been left to rot without proper care.
