The Children’s Support Fund, established to cater for the welfare of children who lost their parents in the tragic helicopter crash of August 6, 2025, has received donations totaling GH¢6,583,600 and US$20,000.

In an update issued on September 13, 2025, government indicated that the contributions, received between September 1 and 11, 2025, came from a mix of corporate bodies, institutions, and individual philanthropists.

Notable donors include NIB Ghana, Keda Ghana Ceramics Limited, Chase Group Foundation, MTN Ghana, KGL Technology, and Ghana Commercial Bank. Individual supporters such as Cynthia Naa Odotey, Nana Victoria Akyaa Afriyie-Abrokwa, Kay Simmon, Charles Incoom, and Dela Radio also contributed to the initiative.

Coordinator of the Fund and Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs, Dr Valerie Sawyerr, expressed gratitude to all who supported the cause.

“This show of solidarity demonstrates that Ghanaians and institutions alike are committed to securing a future for the children left behind by this tragedy,” she said.

She further encouraged continued contributions, noting that donations can be made through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited accounts at the Stanbic Heights Branch in Accra, or via mobile money platforms.

“Donations may be made to the Fund via the following Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited accounts (Stanbic Heights Branch, Accra): Ghana Cedi (GHS) Account: 9040013628372, US Dollar (USD) Account: 9040013628534,” the statement added.

Dr Sawyerr emphasised that “every cedi and dollar count towards ensuring that these children not only survive but thrive.”
