The search for a swimmer who disappeared off Sydney‘s shoreline has been called off amid rough weather.
The swimmer, understood to be a man in his 30s, was reported missing after failing to return to shore at Maroubra Beach, south of Coogee, shortly before 4pm on Sunday.
Volunteers and vessels from Marine Rescue Botany Port Hacking and Marine Rescue Middle Harbour attempted to search the area but were forced to suspend operations at 5.30pm due to poor conditions.
More to come.
