Franklin Cudjoe, Founding President of IMANI Africa, has identified some positive aspects of the budget that offer financial relief to citizens. Specifically, he highlights the adjustments in taxation, such as the e-levy, which will put more money back into people’s hands.

He believes this will have a significant impact on small business owners, particularly women entrepreneurs, who will now have more disposable income to invest in their businesses.

While acknowledging that tax relief alone may not be enough, Cudjoe sees it as a step in the right direction towards easing financial burdens on citizens. He emphasizes the need for budgets to address the larger problems of people and improve their livelihoods, particularly in essential sectors like healthcare, education, and poverty reduction.
