Sarkodie’s legal team has strongly denied reports that the musician has withdrawn his lawsuit against Ecobank Ghana Ltd., calling the claims “baseless, malicious, and an affront to the judicial process.” According to Robert Smith Law Group, Sarkodie’s lawyers, no instructions have been given to discontinue the case, and no steps have been taken to withdraw the suit.

The law firm emphasized that the matter is still active in court and clarified the legal process, noting that a plaintiff can discontinue an action without the defendant’s consent before a Statement of Defence is filed—which hasn’t happened in this case.

The lawyers warned against further false reporting, citing Section 225 of Ghana’s Criminal Offences Act, which makes it a criminal offense to publish material intended to prejudice ongoing court proceedings. They threatened to pursue legal action against anyone continuing to spread false narratives.

The legal notice, signed by Bobby Banson, Esq., affirms the team’s commitment to protecting Sarkodie’s interests and upholding the integrity of the judicial process.
