President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, has called for a collaborative work among musicians in the union.
In an interview with Hitz FM shared on August 28, 2025, Bessa Simons noted that even though some A-list artistes are members of the MUSIGA, there is a lack of bond between them and young singers.

When asked which musicians are part of the union, Bessa Simon noted that Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kinataa, among others, are part; however, their busy schedule prevents them from contributing enough.
“Most of them are part of MUSIGA, but because of their schedules… Kofi Kinaata, Stonebwoy, and Sarkodie, we talk and work with them all the time, but the whole thing is that we want them to do more. They should come closer and work with the young people,” he said.
Bessa Simons further noted that MUSIGA has registered more young artistes in Greater Accra than ever in the history of the music union.
“This year, I think in Greater Accra we have registered more young people than ever,” he added.
