Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has emerged as the clear front-runner in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential race, according to the latest Phase Three delegates’ survey released by Sanity Africa ahead of the party’s primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026.

The January 2026 survey places Kennedy Agyapong at the top with 52.0 percent support among NPP delegates, confirming his sustained dominance throughout the polling period. His latest performance follows earlier strong showings of 51.4 percent in July 2025 and a peak of 53.1 percent in October 2025, before stabilising at 52.0 percent.

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remains in second position, polling 40.0 percent in the most recent survey. While this represents a modest recovery from the 39.0 percent recorded in October 2025, it still falls short of the 42.2 percent he commanded in July 2025.

The remaining aspirants continue to trail far behind the two leading contenders. Dr. Bryan Acheampong has shown consistent incremental gains, rising from 3.1 percent in July 2025 to 5.0 percent in October, and reaching 7.0 percent in January 2026. Meanwhile, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has seen a sharp decline in support, dropping from 3.0 percent in July to 2.0 percent in October, and falling further to 0.7 percent in the latest survey.

Ing. Kwabena Agyepong remains on the margins of the race, polling 0.3 percent in both July 2025 and January 2026, with a brief rise to 0.9 percent in October.
